2024 Start of Season Chairman's Message
Welcome to the 2024 season to existing members - playing members, parents, and social members, and a special welcome to prospective new members.
You will feel rightly comforted and assured by the fact that the club has recently been re-accredited with the ECB Clubmark which shows that the club is " sustainable, well run, and provides the right environment for its members. ...your club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people."
What better way then to start the season than to meet up at the club on our GET SET days - Sunday 14th (1200-1500hrs) and/or Saturday 20th (1000-1200hrs). Work has already begun but we can only complete tasks with your help. Some tasks are 'merely manual' eg. tidying up areas or washing down seating, ... for which merely your presence is sought - with a pair of gloves . Other tasks require eg. some hand tools, a brush cutter/strimmer, hedge cutters, trailer (and vehicle), ... so please come prepared. When you register your intention to attend on Spond perhaps you would indicate whether you can bring any of the latter 'machinery' to assist us in planning.
Refreshments will be available during the session form Lauraine in the kitchen.
