Latest News Beddo Website Hits Record High (June 01, 2007) Beddington Cricket Club has been attempting to move into the electronic era for a number of years now by developing a club website. Unfortunately, although the website was launched a few years ago, due to minimal content it never really took off.
In 2006 the Management Committee decided to make the website a priority and created a committee position in the form of a 'Webmaster'. Therefore in 2007, Steve Cowlin became the first official webmaster.
Since he took over in January lots of information has been added and the website is now the method used for distributing the team sheets, as well as providing match reports and keeping members up to date with events and news.
The statistics from the website prove what a success this initiative has been with figures of 177,880 hits for the Month of May That is at an average of 5738 hits per day compared with just 81 per day back in December! The number of people visiting the site has also increased with 4,174 visits to the site in May compared to a previous record high of 629 before January 2007.
