Cricket for Change Refugees v MCC (June 21, 2010)
As many of you will know, long serving Beddington 1st XI player Dan Baker has been working with Afghan refugees in his work with the charity Cricket for Change.
 
This link has resulted in a number of the Afghan boys playing both colts and adult cricket for Beddington over the past couple of years.
 
As part of the Refugee Cricket Project (RCP) run by Cricket for Change 11 young men took to the field in a match against the MCC, 3 of whom are currently playing for Beddington through an arrangement with the whereby 4 boy's cricket is funded in part by the RCP and the remainder by Beddington.
 
In order to protect the boys safety we can't mention any names but one of the Beddo youngsters features heavily in an aticle printed in the Times newspaper on June 11th. You can view the Times newspaper cutting and a write up of the match on the MCC website by following the links below.
