Cricket Charity Appeal (November 03, 2009)

C4C
The cricket based charity located in Wallington, Cricket 4 Change are in need of both sponsorship and unwanted cricket bats or other equipment for two of their projects.

The first project is with Afghan refugees and is one that has been a huge success story. The aim is to help refugees from the war torn country settle here and adapt to new surroundings while helping to deal with the terrible things they may have experienced back home. Beddington have already seen some of the young lads playing for them but if they, and others like them are able to train properly they need some help with regards to kit. So, if anybody has any bats that they are not going to use or are just sitting at home getting dusty, Cricket 4 Change would love to use them! The bats don't need to be new and can have been used but need to be already knocked in.

The second project is taking 13 blind and 13 learning difficulty players on a life changing trip to Jamaica to play their respective national teams. Most of the young people will struggle to raise the money for the trip themselves so it would be great if Beddington members who are able to, or know anybody who may be able to help gets in touch. Cricket 4 Change are looking for kit sponsors, monetry donations or decent raffle/auction items that will be gratefully received by the cause.

Please do your best to help as both the refugee project and the Jamaica trip are helping to improve and change many many young peoples lives for the better!

If you are able to help, please contact Danny Baker at rocky1988wfc@yahoo.co.uk.

Many thanks!
