Bed-Rock - Thursday 25th June 2009, The Brief, Croydon.

Members of Beddington CC were treated to an evening of music to raise funds for the club at The Brief in Croydon on Thursday 25th June.

 

The music was varied although the highlight was the performance of The Awakened who brought with them a large number of fans. The headline act, Namaste, were also well received although the majority of Awakened fans decided not to listen which meant the last band, signed to a professional label played to a smaller audience.

 

Overall, the evening was a great success and raised £150 for Beddington CC. Our thanks go in particular to Sam and Jeff Pye who organised the evening with Sam also playing drums for The Awakened.

 

Thanks also to the club members who made the effort to support the event, especially those who were a little bit out of their musical comfort zone!

Hopefully the event will become a regular feature in the calendar and we can look to expand the music groups performing and the support from the club members.
