Ryan Cummins signs for Northants (October 21, 2008)Beddington CC are pleased to announce that Ryan Cummins has signed a 12 month contract with Northamptonshire CCC.
Ryan had a difficult 2008 season at his previous county Leicestershire where the combination of a large number of 'Kolpak' players and a troublesome back injury limited his first class appearances. This culminated in Ryan leaving Leicestershire towards the end of the season in order to secure his future elsewhere.
I'm sure Ryan will be looking forward to getting his career back on track in 2009 having fully recovered from his back injury and taking forward the experince gained at Leicester.
Ryan will be joining a familiar face at Northants as Rob White, who will be marrying Ryan's sister Emma in December and has also appeared for Beddington in the past, firmly established himself as a top order batsman last year with 1037 Chamionship runs at an average of 49.38.
Ryan is a product of the Beddington Colts system and returned to play for the 1st XI last season once released from his Leicestershire committments.
