U16's Win in John Charcoal Cup (June 13, 2008) Congratulations to the Under 16 side that convincingly beat Streatham & Marlborough in the John Charcoal Cup on Wednesday evening.
Beddington batted first and set Streatham 170 and to win, with Matt Cano hitting 48 from a mere 22 balls including 10 fours and a six (you do the math). Ryan May also hit 40 odd not out.
The Beddo youngsters followed that up with a good bowling performance and bowled Streatham out for 100, thereby winning by 70 runs and progressing to the next round.
