Latest News Disability Cricket (May 29, 2008) On 29th May 2008, two Beddington members were picked for the Surrey CC Moderate learning difficulties team to play in a tournament against Kent, Essex and Middlesex.
We played Essex first and Jack Green (Under 10) bowled beautifully taking 4 wickets against a side of players 7 years older than him and a good double his size. We managed to reach the final against Middlesex who possess 3 England trialists and Jamie Green (Under 14) and Jack Green represented the county again with Jamie bowling a maiden against the England opener and Jack taking a further wicket making him player of the tournament. Congratulations to the guys on representing their county and to their team managers for providing them with the coaching to push them up to this level. Beddington CC have always supported disability cricketers in the local area and the club will hopefully play against a London visual impairment team
in V.I. cricket in a bid to raise awareness of the game as well as provide the team with vital practice before their Barbados tour in July. Danny Baker Surrey Disability Cricket Team Manager & Beddington 1st XI Player Click here to return to the News page
