Club members will be saddened to learn of the passing away of Robert Cummins - younger brother of Antony & Jonathan. I have sent a letter of condolence to Robert's wife Ann, on behalf of the club.

Robert joined Beddington as a teenager with Steve Brown, Cliff Richards and myself.  A very talented and stylish batsman and excellent fielder, Robert represented the 1st XI with distinction for several years before retiring early and moving to the West Country with wife Ann.  Robert always looked the epitome of good health - and looks.  He has battled however against illness for the last three years and although he experienced much hospitalisation, he was on the squash courts only a few weeks ago.  Our thoughts are with Ann and sons Elliott & Brannan.
