Code of Conduct
As part of our effort to be re-accredited with Club Mark in 2011 we need our Colts, Parents/Carers & Officials to fill in Code of Conduct forms (Documents linked below), please complete and return to Graham Parker or Jon Williams! Introduction:
Beddington Cricket Club realises that none of its recent achievements would have been possible without a flourishing Colts Section. The colts is where all young cricketers have the opportunity to develop their enjoyment and skills of the game of cricket.
The club provides opportunities for young people between the ages of ten and fifteen to receive coaching and competition in the NEC league. We do also cater for younger age groups, but they don't play competitively within the league. All coaching is by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for the suitability for working with young people.
Where & When:
We provide both winter and summer coaching.
The Winter coaching takes place between the months of February and April, usually for a run of 10 weeks Friday evenings. Details of exact dates can be found by clicking here. During the winter we make use of the facilities at Trinity School [click go to the website].
Under 12 and below: Fridays from 18.00 to 19.00.(These sessions follow the 10 week 'Introduction to Cricket' syllabus that is provided by Surrey CCC.)Under 13, 14, 15 & 16: Fridays from 19.00 to 20.00.
The Summer practices take place at our ground in Beddington Park [click to find where we are].
All age groups: Fridays from 18.30 to 20.00.For those who play on Friday nights, an additional training night will be added on a Wednesday, you will be contacted via email about dates & times closer to the season.
As previously mentioned, the U10's through to U16's are entered in the NEC Surrey Colts League [click to go to the website] where a number of fixtures are played against other local clubs.
Beddington values the support of parents and welcomes them to all training and matches.
Membership:
Full details of this can be found on our How to Join [click to follow] page, Colts membership is a one off fee of £60.00. This includes all of the summer coaching (winter is £3 a session to cover hall hire), full use of the clubhouse and club facilities, insurances and match fees.
For those new to the club or not playing for one of the league sides, you can now pay a weekly fee of £3.00 for training only.
